Crochet & Bears...

Among other things, I have still been using crochet as a comforting activity in the evenings - this is the third throw I have crocheted (not quite finished yet) since being in lockdown.  I used another set of the wonderful Papatya yarn cakes in a rainbow mix this time.
I've also had this sweet commission - it's a repeat of a painting I did last year, but thankfully that was long enough ago for this not to be boring.  Interesting to see the difference in colours used this time compared to last time when I had cataracts.
I think you can say my colour vision has improved a little!

Still more...

...and my sewing machine is faltering badly!  I've run out of elastic but discovered a pack of hair scrunchies in Tescos yesterday that I can sew in place and they are just the right length.  They'll do until the elastic I have ordered arrives.

Yet More...

I'm running very low on elastic and my sewing machine is on it's last legs, but I'm still making these.

Stashbusting...

I'm making masks for friends and neighbours and delving deep into my fabric stash - it keeps it interesting!

Big Community Sew

A few of the latest masks I have made - I was happy to see the new initiative started by Patrick Grant of Sewing Bee, Big Community Sew, asking anyone with a sewing machine to make face masks for their community.  I already have orders from local people.
I was also blown away when Patrick Grant tweeted me to say he liked my bear face mask - made my day!

Sign Of The Times...

I've been using my hoard of interesting fabrics to sew face masks...
