Bearfaced...

I've had a pattern for face masks for a while now but not had time to make any.  This one is for me - I just happened to have the perfect fabric!  I want to make more for friends and family, with fabrics to suit personalities - should be fun!

Beargate...

Last week I haad a dream that I painted the back gate blue and put a bear on it.  So at the weekend I did it...

Nevermore...

I finished this yesterday after 24 hours of agonising over whether or not to give it a slight washy background.  Then I sold it before the paint was even properly dry...
Which caused a slight problem as I had already entered it into a virtual exhibition with The Wild Life Art Society - thankfully they have kindly allowed me to submit another painting in it's place.

This is watercolour on paper and when I started it I had no idea it would take me quite so long - but I am glad it did, because it took my mind off current events for an hour or two each day.

Next up, something on the garden gate...

Crochet...

Another one of these crochet throws completed.  I find them very soothing to make, no thinking required.  Once I can get them photographed properly, they will be for sale in my Etsy shop.

Corvid...

I felt like painting something completely different this week, something that required total concentration and therefore fully cutting me off from the outside world for an hour or two at a time.

This raven certainly does the job!  I've been days just painting the wing feathers, which hopefully were the most difficult part.  It's been fun, but I;m ready to finish it now.  Watercolour on paper.

Peanut...

While all this virus malarkey is going on, I still had a couple of commissions to do.  I finished this cute little wooden trinket box a couple of days ago - it has a picture of the bear 902 Peanut on it.  It was nice to paint a bear other than Otis for a change, and seeing as I have nowhere to go, I spent a lot more time on it than I would have normally.
Instead of painting the rest of the box black as with the Otis boxes, I decided to paint it to look a bit like water, with shades of blue & green.
As the box is smaller than the usual ones, it wouldhave been impossible to line it with cotton fabric entirely, so I used a greeny-blue felt for the sides and lid, with a piece of fishy cotton fabric for the bottom of the base.

The only sad thing is that due to the recipient's location, I can't send this until their country's lockdown is relaxed.

The other commission is a watercoluor of a bear - looking forward to that.
