It's been over a month since I posted here - there has been stuff going on, I just haven't got around to posting it! There were cookies...made for my daughter's daycare Phyllis Tuckwell coffee morning.
There was pottery - I took my daughter for another session at the Pottery Edit place in town, this time to paint Halloween pots. Stacie enjoyed painting her skull very much, although it was fairly simple - there are flowers on the cheeks. I had fun painting the zombie pot - very happy with how it turned out after glazing.
I've been working on a dog portrait commission that I received a couple of weeks ago. It is the first commission I have got in many months and I have thoroughly enjoyed it - should be finished over the weekend. Sadly, I just got notice that the little fellow died last week, so hopefully my portrait will be a happy reminder of a beloved pet.
I've also ween working on some Nudinits items and am now in the process of designing monsters for the Woollyfoot series of animations.
We've also had a bit of drama with an unwelcome lodger in the loft - we kept hearing scratching noises above our heads in the bedroom and Mr.B ended up pulling out all the boxes he has been carefully tidying and arranging over the past year, and laid a couple of traps. Sure enough, a couple of days later there was a rat in one of the traps - eeek! We have no idea how he got there or what he was doing up there as there is no food, we are just glad he is no longer in residence. Mr.B has installed a webcam which is checked daily to make sure we don't have any more squatters up there.
I'm also making a small amigurumi nativity set in between everything else. Hopefully I will be a bit better at posting next month!
