In order to de-stress a little (end of term burn-out!) I took my dog and my daughter and headed up to the Elvetham Heath nature reserve. Elevetham Heath used to be a vast expanse of wild woodland, full of deer, mushrooms and enormous majestic trees. A few years ago, it was cut down in order to build the most expensive (and ugly in my personal opinion) housing estate in Britain. However, they did leave a central patch of land wild, made a lake and put in pathways through the woods which make for a very pleasant walk. There is an incredibly tame heron living on the lake who must think he is a duck as he gobbles up the bread people throw. Probably because the fish in the lake are about the size of cod - they gobble up the bread too, sometimes jumping right out of the water to get at it.
The dog, with his new found confidence (thanks again to the Cesar Millan techniques) thought he had hit paydirt when he spotted these very large rabbits........
...not rabbits? He thought he might have a go anyway.......
