This got finished today - hooray! It is a very large canvas, involved a great deal of paint, a great deal of pain from my injured shoulder as I had to paint it on an easel rather than my usual stance of drawing board in the lap, and a fair amount of language entirely unsuitable from a lady. I do not like copying another artist's work, I have serious problems with perspective on such things as chairs, and the more I worked on it the more mistakes in the original I uncovered and struggled to correct. But never mind, it is for a friend of mine, it's what she wanted and I hope she likes the end result!

The painting looks very relaxed. The weather won't be quite as bright in Boston.... but I still wish I could come with you. Halloween in Boston should be so fabulous! I am jealous! xoxo
