Sometimes when you make something, you just don't realise how cute it will be until it starts to form in your hands. I thought this pattern was fairly sweet and figured I would try it out as it looked simpler than the last couple of felt animals I have made.
I started with the head, wrestling with the fact that the two pieces didn't quite match for some reason, but was determined to go through with it. Then when I had sewn the facial wrinkles, placed the eyes and the tiny, tiny muzzle, it all came together and I couldn't quite believe how like a pug it looked and that it had come from my fingers!
This little dog is just so small it is impossible to photograph properly in all it's detail - not with my camera anyway! It is only 2 inches (5 cm) tall and 2.5 inches (6 cm) from nose to tail.
Tonight I shall endeavour to make him a suitable bed and accessories - at least that won't use up much fabric!
